JAC Motors Abeokuta Race: Trace Deploys 400 Operatives 15 Patrol Vehicles For Successful Hosting

Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, would deploy 400 operatives, 15 patrol vehicles, 10 patrol bikes, 5 heavy duty tow vehicles, (through the hired tow operators) and 10 medium tow vehicles to ensure the success of the upcoming International Marathon Race, schedule to hold in Abeokuta, on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019.

According to a release signed by Cdr. Micheal Babatunde Ajayi, Director, Traffic Planning, Research and Statistics, TRACE Corps, on behalf of the TRACE Corps Commander /CE, Cdr. ‘Seni Ogunyemi, the deployment is to ensure prompt clearance of all encumberances that may hinder the free passage of all participants in the race through the route lining of operatives on the identified 124 black spots of vehicle restrictions.

In addition, the deployment would also ensure that the starting and closing points with red tapes are clearly earmarked, in collaboration with sister agencies, as well as, other tiers of government in order to guarantee a good outcome of the race.

The release further urge all TRACE operatives to be prompt, civil, humane and exhibit a high level of professionalism just as it admonished the general public, particularly the motoring public, to cooperate with the corps by adhering to all the modalities guiding the International Marathon Race, as well as, ensure that all broken down and abandoned vehicles along the route lining axis are removed before the scheduled date.
