James comes up clutch as Lakers book passage into NBA playoffs

Warriors set to face Grizzlies for shot at redemption

LeBron James rolled back the years as he delivered a masterful performance for the Los Angeles Lakers as they defeated the Golden State Warriors 103-100. The 36-year-old hit a clutch shot from 34 feet that just beat the buzzer to give the Lakers an exciting win. James finished the game with a triple-double of 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

Warriors’ talisman Steph Curry recorded 37 points on a night when he was double-teamed whenever he got on the ball. The Los Angeles Lakers will now face the West’s second seed, the Phoenix Suns, in Game 1 of the playoffs, and the Golden State Warriors will get a second bite of the cherry when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies for a place in the playoffs.

Memphis Grizzlies defeated the San Antonio Spurs 100-96 in their NBA play-in game. Jonas Valanciunas scored 23 points and 23 rebounds in the game for the Grizzlies, who will now battle with the Golden State Warriors for a place in the playoffs of the NBA.
