Jannik Sinner’s classy message after US Open final defeat

After falling short in the 2025 US Open final, Jannik Sinner took to social media with an emotional and classy message. The Italian star congratulated Carlos Alcaraz, who beat him in four sets to claim his second US Open title and sixth Grand Slam.

Sinner’s post read:

“Tried my best, couldn’t do more. Congrats to @carlosalcaraz and his team, you deserve it Thanks for all the support ❤️ I’m really proud of myself and the season I’m playing. We keep building. See you next year. @usopen”

The message quickly drew praise from fans and fellow players. Many admired Sinner’s humility and sportsmanship. Others pointed out how he has grown into one of the game’s fiercest competitors while still showing grace in defeat.

Although he lost in New York, Sinner can look back on a remarkable season. He won both the Australian Open and Wimbledon. At just 24 years old, he continues to stand out as one of the defining players of this new era of tennis alongside Alcaraz.
