Jose Paseiro: We are observing Isaac Success
Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro has not ruled out a Nigeria national team call-up for Udinese striker Isaac Success after consistent appearances in the Italian Serie A.
A fantastic striker whose career has been blighted by injuries, Isaac Success has played in 26 games for 9th placed Udinese, a sign his days on the treatment table are over.
Isaac Success was vice-captain of the Coach Manu Garba tutored 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup winning Golden Eaglets. Success was tipped to shine at the World Cup after his 8-goal return as Nigeria lifted the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations title.
A goal as the Eaglets defeated Mexico in the first game plus one in the second game vs Sweden was all he had following an Injury that cut short his tournament but that will not stop Granada from signing the forward after the World Cup win.
When asked about a potential Super Eagles call-up for the former Watford FC man, manager Jose Paseiro provided update the 27-year old is on his watch-list.
“We are observing him. To him and to many others in Serie A: Dessers, Ola Aina, Ebuehi, for example, ”
” We observe them all, then when we have to make the list, we will have to make choices and it will not be easy. Because luckily we have a lot of choice. But Success is there, among the players we have an eye on.” Paseiro said.
Isaac Success is a regular for Udinese this season having featured in all of their 26 league games so far. He has four Super Eagles appearances to his name since getting his first call-up in 2016.
