Joseph Yobo Urges Moses Simon to Move to Premier League
Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo has advised Moses Simon to move to the Premier League as rumours grow about the winger’s future at FC Nantes.
Simon is being linked with a move away from the French club this summer, and England is said to be his likely next destination.
Speaking to Africa Foot, Yobo, a former Olympique Marseille defender, said this is the right time for the 29-year-old to take his chance in English football.
“I don’t know how true the reports are that he wants to leave Nantes, but if he does, then the Premier League should be his next stop,” Yobo said. “With his ability, versatility and experience, it’s long overdue. He has always been good enough to play in England.”
Yobo, who spent nearly 10 years at Everton, believes Merseyside would be a perfect destination for Simon—especially with recent rumours linking him to the Toffees.
“If Everton’s interest is real and serious, that would be even better,” Yobo added. “I played in Merseyside for almost 10 years, and I know the football culture there—it’s massive. His speed and impact would suit Everton perfectly.”
Simon has been one of Nantes’ top performers in recent seasons, and his displays have attracted attention from several clubs in Europe.
The Super Eagles winger is still under contract with Nantes until 2026, but this summer may be a key moment in his career.
