Josh Okogie’s career-high powers Timberwolves past LeBron James’ Lakers

Since the Minnesota Timberwolves lost Andrew Wiggins the 2014 first overall pick to injury, Josh Okogie has stepped in and has even taken a step further in cementing a spot in Tom Thibodeau’s starting line up with repeated beyond rookie displays.

Having recorded his first-ever NBA career double-double in Timberwolves 105-112 loss to Toronto Raptors last Wednesday, the 20th overall pick in the 2018 draft showed no sign of slowness as posted another first on Monday.

In a highly contested clash against a team who has the ‘great’ LeBron James in their rank, Josh Okogie played a flawless game to help his side to victory.

Josh didn’t just post career-high points of 17, he did perfectly every other thing as he added 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, and 0 turnovers in 30 minutes he spent on the court.

Want-away star, Jimmy Butler led Minnesota Timberwolves in scoring with 32 points on 12-for-20 shooting while LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers with 29 points.
