Junior Lokosa reportedly agrees Sporting Lagos FC transfer after short term Remo Stars stay
One-time Nigerian league top-scorer Junior Lokosa has reportedly agreed a transfer to Sporting Lagos FC after a short term stay with Remo Stars FC.
According to multiple sources, Nigeria Premier League new-boys Sporting Lagos have completed the signing of Lokosa who was a free agent following the end of his deal with Remo Stars Sports Club.
Lokosa and Sporting Lagos are said to have agreement for a two-year deal which will see the experienced forward lead the lines for their debut Premier League season.
In finances, the 29-year old will earn more than what was offered during his stay with Remo Stars.
Recall that Junior Lokosa joined Remo Stars mid-way through the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League season and was key to the clubs second place finish at the NPFL Super Six playoffs in June.
No official confirmation has been made by either clubs or player at the time of this report but according to sources in Lagos State, Badagry born Junior Lokosa is returning to a state where he famously represented First Bank FC from 2013 to 2018.
Following their promotion at the just concluded Nigeria National League Super 8 playoffs, Sporting Lagos FC will be making their debut in the Nigeria Premier League next season.
