Juventus Thrash Austria Wien 4-1 to Secure Second Consecutive Champions League Win

Juventus Women continued their impressive response in the UEFA Women’s Champions League with a convincing 4-1 victory over Austria Wien on Thursday, October 29.

The Italian side secured their second consecutive win in the league phase, building on their previous victory over Häcken to strengthen their position in the competition.

Juventus took the lead in the 39th minute when Matilde Pavan found the back of the net, giving the visitors a deserved advantage heading into half-time.

Alba Redondo doubled Juventus’ lead from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute, putting the Bianconeri in a comfortable position. Austria Wien responded through Lotta Cordes in the 78th minute, but their hopes of mounting a comeback were quickly ended.

Kysha Sylla restored Juventus’ two-goal cushion just three minutes later before Julia Bartel added a fourth in stoppage time to seal an emphatic victory.

The result marks an important turnaround for Juventus, who lost their opening league-phase match against Benfica before recording consecutive victories over Häcken and Austria Wien.

With another three points secured, Juventus will now turn their attention to their next Champions League fixture as they continue their push for a place in the knockout stages.

Austria Wien, meanwhile, remain without a win in the league phase after three matches.
