Kano Pillars end Kada City winning streak with their first away win in three years

A goal either half from Adamu Hassan and Nyima Nwagua ensured Kano Pillars beat Kada City 2-0 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna in their rescheduled game on Wednesday.

Kada City have won all their three league games before their clash against Kano Pillars and were out to make it four but failed to.

Adamu Hassan put Kano Pillars up in the 11th minute of the game when he reacted quickly to a loose ball in Kada City’s penalty area to score the first goal.

Nyima Nwagua finished off a nice pass from Rabiu Ali to put Pillars two goals up in the 62nd minute of the game to confirm the win.

Kano Pillars’ 2-0 win at Kada City is their first away win in the NPFL since May 2016. They failed to win any of their previous 48 away matches in the NPFL – 14D 34L.

While Kada City’s winning streak was also ended after 1-0 away win against Plateau United, 2-1 home wins against Yobe Stars and Nasarawa United all wins against their Northern rivals.
