Kanu reacts to Enyimba FC win over Lobi Stars
Chairman of Enyimba FC, Kanu Nwankwo has shared his reaction to the teams NPFL win over Lobi Stars FC on Sunday, November 20, 2023.
Enyimba FC defeated Lobi Stars FC 1-0 in a keenly contested Nigeria Premier Football League matchday nine game in Aba.
Defender, Alalibo Somiari scored the winning goal when he headed home from a long throw-in by Unwana Asuquo in the 87th minute of the match.
The Enyimba FC stadium, Aba came alive with the goal which denied in-form Lobi Stars FC a point on the road.
A happy Enyimba FC chairman took to his X handle to share his excitement over the win with special appreciation to the club’s chief-funder and the fans.

Former Arsenal forward, Kanu has not had a very smooth start to life as Enyimba’s chief executive having succeeded Chief Felix Anyansi few months ago.
The People’s Elephants occupy 16th place on the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League standings having secured 10 points from seven games. The reigning Nigerian champions have two games in hand over the rest.
Tutored by another ex-international, Findi George, Enyimba FC side will next host Bendel Insurance in a rescheduled matchday-one fixture at the Enyimba Stadium.
