Karim Benzema scored a memorable hat-trick for Los Blancos as they overturned a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League and reach the quarterfinals. The French striker was in good form as he led his teammates out against Mallorca.
The minnows held their own for long periods in the game before their resistance was finally broken ten minutes into the second half by Brazilian starlet Vinicius Junior. The winger was teed up by Karim Benzema before applying a confident finish through the legs of goalkeeper Sergio Rico in the 55th minute to put Real Madrid ahead. It was the 8th goal both players have combined for this season, the most by any duo in Europe’s top five leagues.
Real Madrid were coasting, and they doubled their advantage in the 77th minute from the penalty spot. Benzema had teed up Vinicius Junior inside the box once again, but this time, the Brazilian winger was bundled to the ground by a defender. Karim Benzema stepped up and dispatched the penalty clinically for his record-breaking goal.
Five minutes later, Benzema was perfectly positioned to head home a cross from substitute Marcelo to seal the result for Los Blancos, moving them 10 points clear of second-place Sevilla with only 10 games left in the season.

He has now scored 413 goals in 834 career appearances for club and country. He has scored 22 goals and created another 11 in 25 league matches this season.
