Katsina United Beat Enyimba 4-2 in Six-Goal Thriller

Katsina United defeated Enyimba 4-2 in a thrilling Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Eight encounter on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Katsina United took a three-goal lead before Enyimba scored twice to put pressure on the hosts. However, Umar Rabiu scored in the 80th minute to seal the victory for Katsina United.
The win gives Katsina United three important points, while Enyimba suffered their fifth defeat in eight league matches.

Enyimba responded seven minutes later as Chidera finished a cross from Obichere to pull one goal back.
The Aba-based side continued to push forward and made it 3-2 in the 75th minute when Egbe Charles headed home a flick from Richards.
With only one goal separating the teams, Enyimba pushed for an equaliser and threatened to complete a remarkable comeback.
However, Rabiu ended their hopes in the 80th minute with an impressive individual goal that restored Katsina United’s two-goal lead.
Enyimba continued to search for another goal, but Koroma denied Damian’s effort from outside the penalty area during stoppage time as Katsina United secured all three points.

The victory takes Katsina United to 12 points from eight matches.
Enyimba remain on seven points after suffering their fifth defeat of the campaign, leaving the Aba-based club under pressure to improve their results.
Despite scoring twice after going three goals behind, Enyimba were punished for their defensive mistakes, while Katsina United showed their ability to withstand pressure and secure the win.
