Keita Balde Diao Speaks Out on Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara Scandal, Admits Mistake
Keita Balde Diao has finally spoken out about the scandal involving Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara, admitting his mistake while criticising their public drama.
The relationship between Icardi and Nara has caused a lot of media attention in the past, and now it has dragged Balde into the spotlight. The Senegalese forward was accused by Icardi of having an affair with Wanda during their time at Inter Milan. Balde has now acknowledged his infidelity, but he strongly condemned the way Icardi and Nara have handled the situation.
“Betrayal is the word that hurts the most. I made the biggest mistake of my life, I betrayed the love of my life. She deserves all the love and respect in the world,” Balde said in a video interview with Canale 5. “I want to take full responsibility and speak out because this problem is now affecting my family.”
This revelation has caused trouble in Balde’s marriage to Simona Guatieri, with whom he has two children. Although she had forgiven him privately, the public airing of the affair by Icardi and Nara has reopened old wounds.
“The public drama from Mauro and Wanda is not part of my life,” Balde added. “I know I made a mistake, but they know that children are affected by all of this. The way they are handling it shows they have no heart.” Balde also said, “I feel terrible for the mistakes I’ve made, but I will protect my family and take legal action if necessary.”
Simona Guatieri, Balde’s wife, also criticised Icardi and Nara for making their private matters public. “We have different values than they do. My husband made a mistake, but he kept it private. If I showed you the messages she sent him, you would never stop talking about it. Icardi should focus on football instead of gossip,” she said.
The feud between Icardi and Wanda has been a long-running tabloid story, with their relationship starting in controversy. Wanda was married to Maxi Lopez, Icardi’s former teammate at Sampdoria, before leaving him for Icardi, leading to one of football’s most famous betrayals.
Now, their latest breakup has turned into a legal battle, with accusations of domestic violence, defamation, and a dispute over a luxury villa in Buenos Aires. Wanda has even claimed that the stress of her relationship with Icardi contributed to her leukemia diagnosis.
As for their football careers, Icardi currently plays for Galatasaray, while Balde is without a club but training with Monza in hopes of returning to Serie A. Despite all the controversy, the drama surrounding Icardi and Wanda Nara seems far from over.
