Kelechi Iheanacho bangs 2-in-2, eyes more goals and Manchester United scalp

Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has scored his second goal of the pre-season in just his second game for Leicester City.

The former City striker scored his first of the pre-season for the 2015-16 Premier League champions in their 2-1 loss to Udinese before scoring another on Wednesday at the King Power Stadium in Leicester City 1-1 draw against Valencia.

Kelechi Iheanacho who started the game as a striker, found a scrambled ball on his path after James Maddison had done a decent work before finishing one time to open the scoring for home team.

The visitors however, got themselves an equalizer in the 18th minutes through Daniel Parejo just 7 minutes after Iheanacho had put his side in front.

Kelechi Iheanacho expressed his satisfaction at his performance and the outcome of the match while looking forward to his sides last pre-season friendly against Lille OSC at Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Saturday and Leicester City first Premier League game of the season against Manchester United.

“It was a good test for us and it’s a good game as well,” said Iheanacho to LCFC TV.

“Valencia are a good team as we all know and we worked hard in training to prepare for this game.

“It wasn’t a bad outcome so we’re looking forward to the next game.”

“Of course, I would love to keep it (goalscoring) going, it’s been a good pre-season for us so I’d love to keep the form and keep scoring goals.

“I think it’s going to be a good game but we need to keep working hard and make sure we get the goals,” added the Nigeria international.
