Kelechi Iheanacho helps Celtic secure Scottish league crown

Kelechi Iheanacho helped Celtic F.C. secure the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership title after a 3-1 comeback victory over Heart of Midlothian F.C. on Saturday.

The Nigerian forward came on as a substitute for Sebastian Tounekti at the start of the second half in the title-deciding clash played at Paradise.

Hearts took the lead in the 38th minute through Michael Steinwender before Celtic responded before the break. Arne Engels scored from the penalty spot to level the game for the hosts.

Daizen Maeda and Callum Osmand later added two more goals to give Martin O’Neill’s side an important victory.

The win confirmed Celtic as Scottish Premiership champions for the 56th time in the club’s history.

Celtic finished top of the table with 82 points, two points ahead of Hearts.

Iheanacho has now added another league title to his career achievements since joining the Scottish giants.
