Kelvin Love exits Game 2 of Nba finals with concussion

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love was inadvertently elbowed in the head in the second quarter by the Warriors’ Harrison Barnes and is day-to-day after entering the NBA’s concussion protocol.
Love was down on the floor for a few minutes after getting hit and eventually walked off the court. The team said he exhibited no symptoms during the second quarter or at halftime and so he was on the court to start the third quarter.

But early in the third quarter he began experiencing some dizziness and was removed from the game. Under the concussion protocol, he must clear a series of steps without experiencing any symptoms before he will be allow to play.

 “At halftime, he showed no symptoms,” Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue said. “He didn’t talk about it. Then when we came back out in the third quarter, I could see in a timeout he looked kind of woozy. And he went back on the floor for a second, and then we had to get him off the floor.”
 Lue said he’s unsure who would start in his place if Love can’t go in Game 3.
