Kennedy Boboye aims dig at sacked Sunshine Stars General Manager
Technical adviser of Sunshine Stars, Kennedy Boboye has aimed a dig at sacked General Manager Mr. Tunde Ogunja, saying the relegation-threatened side lacked direction.
Kennedy Boboye has attributed the recent positive changes in the team to the appointment of the new Ondo State Commissioner of Sports, Saka Yusuf Ogunleye.
Boboye, who once coached Akwa United, emphasised the importance of having clear direction and productive directives within the club.
Speaking on the recent developments, Boboye expressed his satisfaction with the progress made in the past few weeks.
He acknowledged the significant impact of having a structured approach and direction, stating, “I’m glad we are getting a direction gradually because since my appointment what the team lacked was direction because no one gives productive directives, but now things are taking shape.”
Boboye also urged the club’s supporters to continue their unwavering support for the team as they strive for success.
It’s worth noting that shortly after assuming office, Commissioner Saka Yusuf Ogunleye sacked Mr. Tunde Ogunja from his role as the General Manager of Sunshine Stars, signaling a new chapter for the club under the new leadership.
Looking ahead, Sunshine Stars is scheduled to face Shooting Stars in Ibadan on Sunday.
