Kenneth Omeruo reveals UEFA Champions League ambition
Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo has revealed his ambition to play in the UEFA Champions League before he retires from active football.
The defender made this disclosure in a chat with Elebete TV, revealing he will not hang up until he fulfills what has become a dream for him.
Omeruo despite staying on the books of English Premier League side Chelsea for seven years (2012-2019), never had opportunity to turn out in the Champions League as he went out on successive loans before joining CD Leganés in 2019.
“Right now, I don’t have a target age. I want to play in the [UEFA] Champions League. That’s what I have said. And it will happen. If it doesn’t happen, we go dey play the football dey go till we play the Champions League [We’ll keep playing the football till we play the Champions League.” he stated.
The Nigerian defender made a move from London to CD Leganés for a fee of €5.00m, and a successful future could potentially lead him to join an even bigger club.
