Kings end Warriors´ five-match winning streak, as James reach milestone
The Golden State Warriors saw their winning streak ended in the NBA, while the Cleveland Cavaliers claimed a victory.
The Warriors’ five-match run was snapped by the Sacramento Kings, who recorded a 109-106 overtime win.
LeBron James ensured the Cavs had no such problems as they brushed past the New York Knicks 111-104.
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs were comfortable winners.
WARRIORS BEATEN
Stephen Curry had 35 points and nine assists, but the Warriors went down.
DeMarcus Cousins led the way for the Kings, falling just short of a triple-double as he finished with 32 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr was ejected during the third quarter.
CAVS CRUISE
James (32 points and 10 assists) and Kevin Love (23 points and 16 rebounds) each had double-doubles for the Cavs.
Carmelo Anthony, rumoured to be a trade target for Cleveland, contributed 17 points for the Knicks.
SUPER SPURS
The Spurs got an even team performance in a resounding 121-97 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Kawhi Leonard top-scored with 19 points, but Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Jonathon Simmons chipped in with 18 each.
The win was the 1,128th of Spurs coach Gregg Popovich’s career, giving him the all-time mark for victories with a single franchise.

HEAT, WIZARDS ENJOY WINS
The Miami Heat made it 10 straight wins with a 125-102 thrashing of the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Washington Wizards rallied past the New Orleans Pelicans 105-91.
The Atlanta Hawks were untroubled by the Orlando Magic in a 113-86 win, the Indiana Pacers easily beat the Detroit Pistons 105-84, the Memphis Grizzlies had a 107-99 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Milwaukee Bucks crushed the Phoenix Suns 137-112 and the Utah Jazz fought back to overcome the Charlotte Hornets 105-98.
WESTBROOK’S THUNDER HOST PORTLAND
Russell Westbrook (30.8 points, 10.5 rebounds and 10.3 assists per game) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (29-22) welcome the Portland Trail Blazers (22-29) to the Chesapeake Energy Arena in one of three games on Sunday.
