Knicks rally again to move within One Win of Title
The New York Knicks are now one win away from an NBA championship after edging the San Antonio Spurs 107-106 in a dramatic Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
In a game that came down to a single point, the Knicks produced another comeback to take a 3-1 lead in the series.
Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 36 points and seven assists.
The Spurs pushed the Knicks all the way and looked capable of leveling the series at several points during the game. Victor Wembanyama finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds, leading San Antonio’s effort, but it was not enough to prevent a heartbreaking defeat.
With just one point separating the two teams at the final buzzer, Game 4 was the closest contest of the series so far.
For the Knicks, the victory puts them within touching distance of their first NBA title in more than five decades.
For the Spurs, the challenge is now simple but difficult: win three straight games or watch the championship go to New York.
The series now moves to Game 5, which will be played on June 13 in San Antonio.
For now, the Knicks are one win away from lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy, while the Spurs are running out of chances to keep their season alive.
