Kobe Bryant becomes third player to score 33,000 points

Kobe Bryant’s farewell season gave way to another milestone on Thursday when the Los Angeles Lakers great became the third player in NBA history to score 33,000 points in his career.
The feat came in another Lakers loss, but Bryant had 28 points through three quarters against the Sacramento Kings and looked rejuvenated on both ends of the court.
Fellow Lakers great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387) and Jazz great Karl Malone (36,928) are the only other players to achieve the 33,000 mark.
Bryant has already announced this will be his final season in the league, but he is doing a good job of painting lasting memories in his fans’ minds on his way out.
The Lakers went down to the Sacramento Kings 118-115.
