Kobe Bryant dominating first 2016 NBA All-Star votes

LA Lakers guard Kobe Bryant may not be having the best season with his 34 percent field-goal shooting, but it’s his final season and the fans love him.

That’s why he’s atop the first returns of the 2016 NBA All-Star voting results.

Bryant leads the NBA and Western Conference with 719,235 votes, while LeBron James leads the Eastern Conference with 357,937 votes.

Last year’s league MVP and likely repeat MVP Stephen Curry is in second place overall with 510,202 votes.

Bryant is the all-time leading scorer in NBA All-Star Game history (280 points). He has 17 All-Star selections, which places him second all-time behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 19.
