Kobe Bryant’s illustrious 20-season NBA career came to an end in fitting style on Wednesday.
The 37-year-old, a five-time NBA champion and 2008 MVP, had 60 points in the Lakers’ 101-96 win at the Staples Center.
He was given the licence from the field as he went 22-for-50 as part of his haul.
His 50 shots marked the most in an NBA game since Michael Jordan had 49 in 1993.
Bryant announced he was retiring at the end of the season late last year, going on something of a farewell tour in his final campaign.
