The Cleveland Cavalier take 1-0 lead over Detroit Pistons thanks to their 106-101 victory at The Quicken Loans Arena. The Cavaliers’ “Big Three” of LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving were responsible for the bulk of the offense and combined to score 81 of the team’s 106 points, which combatted the 15 three-pointers the Pistons hit in a losing effort.
Love and James finished off double-doubles in the Game 1 win. In addition to his 28 points, Love hauled in 13 rebounds, and James handed out 11 assists to go along with 22 markers. James added two steals and two blocked shots against the Pistons.
Irving finished with 31 points his NBA Playoffs career best, six assists, five rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot in the win.
