La Liga: Gattuso Leaves Valencia By Mutual Consent

Valencia have announced the departure of Gennaro Gattuso as their coach on mutual consent.

The former Napoli boss signed a two-year deal to take over at the Mestalla in the summer.

He has been unable to guarantee consistency for the club as they languish in the 14th position.

Gattuso lost eight out of the 18 matches in the league just a point above the relegation zone.

Valencia lost 1-0 to Valladolid on Sunday, a loss which proved costly for the former Italian midfielder.

Valencia are now looking for their fifth permanent coach in three years.
