LeBron James Becomes First NBA Player to Play as a Teenager and Over 40

LeBron James made history on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, becoming the first NBA player to compete both as a teenager and past the age of 40. The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 110-122 at the Crypto.com Arena. Despite the defeat, James scored 23 points, proving his skill and fitness in his 22nd season. The Memphis Grizzlies won a close 117-112 game against the Phoenix Suns. Jaren Jackson Jr. stood out with 38 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. Kevin Durant fought hard for the Suns, scoring 29 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, but the Suns’ struggles continued with their sixth loss in seven games.
