LeBron James Set to Miss Another Week with Groin Injury

Los Angeles Lakers and NBA legend, LeBron James is expected to be out for at least one more week as he recovers from a groin injury.

The Los Angeles Lakers star picked up the injury during a game against the Boston Celtics earlier this month. James, who is now 40 years old, limped off the court with just under seven minutes left in the fourth quarter. He suffered a strain in his left groin.

LeBron explained that the injury happened when he turned quickly around Celtics player Jaylen Brown to score a basket.

Although he has returned to light training, reports from ESPN suggest James may not be ready to play for at least another week. The Lakers are said to be taking a careful approach and do not want to rush him back onto the court.

The NBA legend was seen practising shots with his team-mates recently as he tested how his body was feeling after sitting out.

LeBron, who previously played for the Miami Heat, said he’s not too worried about the injury. He explained he would take it “day by day” as he recovers.

After the game against the Celtics, James said, “Maybe I pushed it a little too much,” but added, “I’ve been through this before and I know what type of injury I’m dealing with.”
