LeBron, KD make All-Star picks for Sunday’s game
Gobert, Mitchell picked last in both teams
The two captains for the NBA All-star game, LeBron James and Kevin Durant selected the starting five players as well as the reserves for Sunday’s game.
For LeBron’s team, Giannis Antetokounmpo was his first pick, followed by Steph Curry, Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic for his starting five. The reserves are Damian Lillard, Ben Simmons, Chris Paul, Jaylen Brown, Paul George, Domantas Sabonis and Rudy Gobert. It is Antetokounmpo’s first time of being on the same team with LeBron since his first all-star game because he has been captain for the past two years.
For KD’s team, his first pick was Kyrie Irving, then Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard, Bradley Beal and Jayson Tatum for his starting five. The reserves for his side are James Harden, Devin Booker, Zion Williamson, Zach LaVine, Julius Randle, Nikola Vucevic, and Donovan Mitchell. Durant will miss the game through an injury that he suffered in February.
This year’s events will be held all on a single day, with the skills and three points contests held before the game and the dunk contest during the halftime break.
