Leicester City 4-0 N’Forest: Ndidi returns , Iheanacho benched as Foxes spank Awoniyi, Dennis, Nottingham Forest in EPL bottom of the table clash

Nigerian Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi shook off injury to play 45 minutes as Leicester City spanked Nottingham Forest 3-0 on Monday night.

Birthday boy Kelechi Iheanacho watched the game from the bench , Brendan Rodgers opting against introducing the forward on the night .

On parade for Nottingham Forest were Nigerian forwards Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis . The latter replacing the former in the 62nd minute as Forest chased revival after a poor first half .

A game of the bottom two teams in the English Premier League at the moment . Leicester City started the game as the  bottom side and the only team still searching for a win this season .

Brendan Rodgers named Nigerian Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in the starting XI after he shook off a Grade One hamstring injury from the loss to Tottenham Hotspur before the international break .

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Copper include striker Taiwo Awoniyi in his starting roster leaving one Super Eagle apiece on the bench for either side at the King Power stadium .

James Maddison fired Leicester City in front in the 27th minute . Two minutes later, Barnes doubled the lead with a well taken goal .

Maddison made it 3-0 in the 35th minute, his delightful free kick flying past helpless Forest goalkepeer Dean Henderson who was left rooted to one spot.

The Foxes led 3-0 at the break . A huge relief for Brendan Rodgers whose team exchanged bottom spot with Steve Coppers men .

Wilfred Ndidi was taken off during the half-time break for medical reasons but there was no cause for worry as Patson Daka added a 4th goal in the 73rd minute .

4-0 it finished at the King power Stadium . A comprehensive first victory of the season for Leicester City who are level on four points with Nottingham Forest who now so bottom of the standings courtesy of an inferior goal difference .
