Lennox Lewis, Kobe Bryant and Aaron Rodgers condemn Horn-Pacquiao result as social media reacts
Controversy reigned in Brisbane on Sunday as Jeff Horn was awarded victory via unanimous decision in his WBO welterweight title bout with Manny Pacquiao.
Horn saw the fight scored 117-111, 115-113 and 115-113 in his favour by the judges despite CompuBox statistics suggesting legendary Filipino Pacquiao had been much more efficient with his punches.
The Australian also came close to being stopped in round nine but was able to celebrate one of boxing’s biggest shocks.
However, the result was not greeted with celebration on social media, with a host of sports stars registering their dismay at the judges’ assessment.
Former heavyweight king Lennox Lewis has a pretty good idea of what he’s watching in the ring, and evidently did not agree with the judges.
Wow! PAC loses by UD? One judge had it 117-111? Wasn’t the fight that I saw!

But super bantamweight star Guillermo Rigondeaux was full of praise for Horn.
I personally saw #Manny win the fight. However #Horn deserved nothing but praise. They were hoping for a and got a Lion!

NBA legend Kobe Bryant, along with current stars DeMar DeRozan and Damian Lillard, were far from happy with the result.
