” Let’s get the Job done ” FC ONE Rocket Coach charges players ahead of Lobi Stars clash

FC ONE Rocket head coach, Ndubisi Ndah has charged his players to go for victory in their Round of 64 Federation Cup tie against NPFL side Lobi Stars.

The match will take place today (April 26) at the Awka City Stadium, Anambra State by 4pm same time other Nigeria Federation Cup matches will take place across designated venues in the country.

Ndah gave the charge while addressing the players shortly before their pre-match warm up session, Tuesday evening.

“Give me your best in this game. It is a cup game and there is no second chance.

” We are heading into the game as underdogs and we have nothing to lose.

The 1996 Olympic gold medalist also added:

“I selected all of you because I trust you to deliver. Let’s get the job done.”

The encounter is FC ONE Rocket’s debut in the Federation Cup after reaching the final of the Akwa Ibom State FA Cup before losing to Akwa United in the final.

The Olympic gold medalist has named a strong squad for the tie with captain and midfielder, Ugochukwu Obiri, Bright Osah, Joshua Sunday, Nigeria Premier Football League winner with Akwa United in 2021, Nasiru Jibril, ex Rahimo midfielder, William, Ugochukwu Agucho, Ambrose Ochigbo, Efe Kegbe, selected to battle for spots in midfield.

Ex junior international, Charles Etim, James Sunday, Israel Joseph, youngster, Bidemi Obodu, Harrison Ebah and Solomon Boyo have been called up in defense, while an attacking pool of Clinton Jephta, Wonderson Yakubu, Paul Ogunkoya and Imam Bala also have shots at making the starting line up.

Goalkeeper, Lordful Philip who has played every minute for the Indomitables in the Nigeria National League is in the mix, with Biram Haladji the other goalkeeper in today’s squad.

To reach the National Finals, FC ONE Rocket finished as runners-up in the 2023 Akwa Ibom State FA Cup to join Champions Akwa United FC in the Federation Cup Round of 64 draws.
