Lobi Stars announce signing of 23 new players
Ahead of the 2022/2023 NPFL season, Lobi Stars Football Club of Markudi have announced the signing of 23 new players .
In compliance with ” Soldier go Soldier Come “, Lobi Stars have filled the void left by departing players, with the announcement of the 23 new recruits on Friday October 7, 2022.
The 2018 NPFL winners made the announcement via the clubs official Facebook account on Friday evening .
NNL side JM Liberty benefitted more from the mass recruitment, Four of their players Peter Ogah, Washima Pine, Shagari Abdullahi and Jude Igoju on the move to the NPFL side.
Lobi Stars signed a player from nearly all the NPFL teams from last season, Christian Madu and Emeka Obiora arrived from Rangers, Mathias Samuel (Plateau United), Bernard Ovoke (Rivers United), Abar Umar (Katsina United).
Orji Kalu joins from Akwa United FC, Chinedu Sunday (Heartland), Barry Lagbara (MFM), Mustapha Jubrin (Abia Warriors), Alex Jerry (Kano Pillars), Elijah Oyetoro (Shooting Stars), Emmanuel Daniel (Remo Stars).
Others are Dele Adeleye (Al Mereikh, Sudan), Samuel Attah (Swedu All Stars), Christian Nwokedi (Hilal Elobied, Sudan), Robert Sunday (Zamfara United), Aminu Yusuf (ABJ, Bauchi) and Henry Ogah (DMD).
Lobi Stars under the tutelage of Coach Baba Ganaru will work to avoid last seasons struggles which saw the Markudi based side struggle for survival for a significant part of the 2021/2022 season.
