Lokeren 2 Charleroi 4: Victor Osimhen ends 280+ minutes goalless run with a ‘wicked’ left foot strike

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has ended his goalless run of 280 minutes with a wicked left foot strike on Sunday.

The Wolfsburg laonee fired a left foot shot past Ortwin De Wolf as Sporting Charleroi secured a 4-2 away win against Lokeren at the Daknamstadion.

After scoring 4 goals in 3 games in October, Victor Osimhen had played 3 games without a goal with his last coiming in Charleroi 2-1 away loss to Gent on October 20th.

Since the October 20th strike, Victor Osimhen had played a total of 280 minutes without finding the back of the net till his strike on Sunday.

Guus Hupperts opened the scoring for the home team in the 16th minute, Ali Gholizadeh equalized for the away team in the 19th minute.

Cristian Benavente put the visitors in front in the 57th minute and Victor Osimhen who only came on in the 70th minute scored in the 81st minute to increase the Charleroi tally to three.

Victor Osimhen found himself through on goal, drifted to the left before firing a wicked shot that bounced off Lokeren goalie, Ortwin De Wolf left before entering the net.

Another second half substitute, Jeremy Perbet ensured it was all thre points in the bag for the visitors with his 90th minute strike.

Victor Osimhen now has six goals in eleven league games for the Belgian outfit.
