Lookman attracting Premier League interest

In the lead-up to the January transfer window, Premier League clubs are intensifying their pursuit of Atalanta’s dynamic forward, Ademola Lookman.

According to DAILY MAIL,  they face formidable competition from Serie A giants Juventus for the ex-Everton and Fulham star.

Lookman, who recently secured a spot in Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), has become a hot commodity in the transfer market due to his stellar performances in Serie A.

The former England Under-21 international showcased his prowess by scoring the decisive goal in Atalanta’s 1-0 victory over Leece on Saturday, December 30, marking his seventh goal of an impressive season. Additionally, Lookman has contributed six assists, earning plaudits for his displays in Italy.

Juventus and French club Nice are reportedly among the European sides keeping a close eye on Lookman’s situation, while several Premier League clubs are actively monitoring the attacker.

Lookman’s wealth of experience in the Premier League, with nearly 100 appearances during his stints at Everton, Fulham, and Leicester, adds to his allure in the eyes of potential suitors.

As Atalanta braces itself for heightened interest in Lookman during the upcoming transfer windows, the tug-of-war between Premier League clubs and Juventus sets the stage for a compelling transfer saga.

The next few weeks will likely be crucial in determining the future destination of the talented forward, whose performances have placed him in the spotlight on both domestic and international fronts.

Lookman will fly to Abu Dhabi where he will join the Super Eagles of Nigeria AFCON preparatory camp, Atalanta manager Piero Gasperini will worry over losing the forward for the tournament plus the raging transfer enquiries.
