Ademola Lookman’s goal not enough as Atalanta lose 3-2 to Napoli
Atalanta suffered a setback in their bid for the Serie A title after losing 3-2 to Napoli at home.
Atalanta started the match in third place, hoping to close the gap on the leaders. However, they couldn’t manage a win, despite a strong effort.
Ademola Lookman played in attack for Atalanta, aiming to help his team get back to winning ways. Napoli also had Romelu Lukaku in their attack, looking to extend their winning run.
The first half was full of action, with three goals scored. Atalanta took the lead early through Retegui, but Napoli quickly responded with two goals from Matteo Politano and Scott McTominay.
In the second half, Lookman scored a great goal to equalize for Atalanta. But in the 78th minute, Lukaku scored the winning goal for Napoli.
Despite Atalanta’s efforts to get another goal, Napoli held on to their lead and won the match. This victory put Napoli six points ahead at the top of the Serie A table.
