The Raptors have now won four-straight games and are closing in on the Cavaliers, who endured their second loss in three games.

Lowry’s contribution was crucial, but he was well supported by Terrence Ross (15 points), Jonas Valanciunas and Bismack Biyombo (11).

LeBron James top-scored for the Cavs with 25 points and eight rebounds.

The Philadelphia 76ers almost pulled off an upset against the Washington Wizards after getting off to a good start but they could not hold off their opponents, consigned to a 50th loss of the season.

The 76ers took a five-point lead into the first break but lost the next three quarters as they eventually went down 103-94, with John Wall posting a double-double for Washington with 23 points and 11 assists.

Paul George’s 32 points were not enough for the Indiana Pacers, who lost by one point to the Charlotte Hornets in a thriller, going down 96-95.

Marvin Williams notched a double-double for the victors with 26 points and 13 rebounds.

The New York Knicks were too good for the Orlando Magic as they triumphed 108-95, while the Chicago Bulls struggled once again on their travels against the Atlanta Hawks, who prevailed 103-88.

The Dallas Mavericks had Chandler Parsons to thank after his 27-point haul helped them account for the Denver Nuggets 122-116, the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Sacramento Kings 117-107, while the Memphis Grizzlies beat a Los Angeles Lakers side missing Kobe Bryant 112-95.
