Mac McClung secures back-to-back Dunk contest titles, following Damian Lillard’s footsteps
After an electrifying performance, Mac McClung, representing the Osceola Magic, clinched the NBA Dunk Contest trophy for the second consecutive year, joining the ranks of basketball legends.
In a thrilling opening round, McClung faced off against rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. of the Miami Heat and forward Jacob Toppin of the New York Knicks, showcasing his remarkable athleticism and dunking prowess.
Advancing to the championship round, he squared off against Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown, ultimately emerging victorious to land the Dunk contest trophy early on Sunday, February 18.

For his final dunk, McClung brought out basketball icon Shaquille O’Neal, donning his high school jersey, and soared over him to complete a stunning feat that earned the only perfect score of the night, a remarkable all-50 rating from the judges.
With this back-to-back victory, McClung follows in the footsteps of legendary dunk contest winners like Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, Harold Miner, Nate Robinson, and Zach LaVine, solidifying his status as one of the game’s rising stars.
