Madrid Open: Djokovic through to the semi-finals without striking a ball

Former world number one Novak Djokovic is through to the semi-finals of the Madrid Open without having to strike a ball.

The Serb gets a walkover into the last after Japan’s Kei Nishikori withdrew from their scheduled quarter-final tie with a wrist injury.

Djokovic could face Rafael Nadal – who plays David Goffin – next.
