Madueke scores to secure sixth home win of 2023 for Chelsea FC

In a hard-fought Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea secured a crucial 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace, courtesy of a late 89th-minute penalty converted by substitute Noni Madueke.

The Blues took an early lead with Mykhailo Mudryk finding the net, but Crystal Palace responded strongly, leveling the score just before halftime. Michael Olise showcased brilliance with a half-volley to equalize, setting the stage for a closely contested second half.

As the game seemed destined for a draw, a pivotal moment occurred in the 89th minute. Eberechi Eze fouled Noni Madueke on the edge of the box, earning Chelsea a late penalty. Madueke stepped up to the spot and calmly converted, securing all three points for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
