Maduka Okoye makes return to action as Udinese hold Lazio In Serie A
Maduka Okoye returned to play for Udinese in a Serie A match against Lazio on Monday, after being out with an injury.
Okoye had surgery for a torn ligament in his right hand in December 2024.
Before the Injury, the 25-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper had played 14 league matches for the Zebras in the 2024/2025 Season In Italy.
Maduka Okoye’s return will be a welcome boost for Super Eagles manager, Eric Chelle as he prepares for international engagements in March 2025.
Chelle named Okoye in a 39-man provisional squad for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe last week.
The squad will be cut to 23 players this week.
