Manchester United pounced at Old Trafford by Bournemouth

Manchester United FC got a 0-3 pouncing in the hand of Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Saturday, December 9, 2023, SportsRation reports.

United went into the English Premier League fixture high in confidence after defeating Chelsea FC in midweek but all did not go well for the Devil’s vs the Cherries.

That was the first time Bournemouth defeated Manchester United FC at Old Trafford, and they achieved that feat in a convincing manner, keeping their first clean-sheet at the venue as well.

Nigeria-eligible forward, Dominic Solanke handed Bournemouth the early lead in the 5th minute, one they maintained until the half-time break.

While United pressed hard for an equalizer, it was the Cherries who got the all-important second goal at Old Trafford.

Philip Billing doubled the lead on 68 minutes.

Bournemouth were criusing and sp when Marcos Senesi got on the score sheet to make it 3-0 in the 72nd minute, it was obvious where the maximum points will go to.

Dango Ouattara had the ball in the net but after a VAR check, the goal was disallowed to deny the visitors a fourth.

With the result, Erik Ten Hag tutored Manchester United are in sixth place on 27 points while Bournemouth move up to 13th on 19 points in the league standings.
