Manchester United Teen Star Victor Musa at Centre of International Tug-of-War

Manchester United youngster Victor Musa is making headlines both on and off the pitch, as Nigeria, Spain, and England all compete to secure his international future.

The 18-year-old, who has been described as the “Lamine Yamal of Manchester United,” is enjoying a brilliant season with the club’s academy.

Musa recently scored six goals in one match against Leeds United and has netted 15 goals in just 18 appearances this season. Born in Navarre, Spain, the quick and skillful left-footed forward is now seen as one of the brightest young players at Old Trafford.

Spanish sports paper AS praised his talent, saying Musa is a player who “shows up in all areas of attack,” just like Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal.

Although Manchester United are taking their time with his development, exits of first-team players such as Antony or Garnacho could create an early opportunity for Musa to step up.

Three Countries Want Musa

On the international stage, Musa has already played for both Spain and England at youth level. Nigeria, the country of his parents, is also in the race to convince him to choose the Super Eagles.

The Spanish Football Federation is working hard to avoid losing more dual-national players, like they did with Inaki Williams and Achraf Hakimi, and are moving quickly to secure young talents.

Nigeria, however, has a strong record of convincing Europe-born players to switch, including Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, and Ademola Lookman.

With three countries watching closely and his reputation growing, Victor Musa has a big decision to make about where his international future lies.
