German star Mesut Ozil drops hint over Arsenal future

Mesut Ozil has dropped a major hint that he will stay at Arsenal this summer after renewing his executive box at the Emirates Stadium, according to reports.

The Germany international is yet to sign a new deal with Arsene Wenger’s side and only has one year remaining on his current contract.

But The Sun has revealed that Ozil has already decided to keep his hospitality package with Arsenal for the upcoming campaign, which suggests that he is not planning to leave.

The report also claims that 28-year-old has been offered a new contract by Arsenal which would increase his wage to a figure close to £300,000 a week.

Arsenal have not yet received any serious interest in Ozil, despite the player having only 12 months on his deal remaining.

But Wenger will have a tougher time in trying to keep Alexis Sanchez this summer.

The Chilean also has one year remaining on his deal but has been offered a contract renewal which is close to £300,000 a week.

Manchester City are reportedly confident that they can secure a deal for the 28-year-old, even though Wenger has remained adamant that he will not allow the forward to be sold and would rather allow the player to leave on a free next year.
