MFM FC come from two goals down to beat Tornadoes in five-goal thriller

MFM FC came from two goals down to beat Niger Tornadoes 3-2 at the Agege Township Stadium in their Nigeria Professional Football League match on Sunday.

MFM FC have consolidated their place at the top of group A with another win to show their seriousness. Fidelis Ilechukwu side came from two goals down to claim all three points in the clash against spirited Tornadoes.

Tornadoes ran into the lead as early as the second minute when Peter Abashiya shock the Fidelis Ilechukwu and his boys. The Agege fans were silenced in the 9th minute when Jonathan Osondu increased the visitors tally to two.

It could have been three for the visitors but Jonathan Osondu fluffed his lines and failed to convert the chance begging to be finished in the 17th minute.

In the last seconds of the first half, the home team got one back through Abisoye Olawale. The goal before the interval would go on to help the team in their fight back.

Michael Ohanu in the 52nd minute restored parity for MFM FC to the delight of the fans. It was a great site to behold how the goal brought the fans to their feet.

With the game ending a draw that both sides would have accepted, Chuks Kenedinum in 90+3 minute beat the offside trap to lob in the ball from a good pass from the midfield.

The win further secured MFM FC’s place at the top of group A.
