Mikel Arteta reflects after winning 4th PL Manager of the Month

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta is pleased with the consistency of his boys after winning March’s Premier League manager of the month his fourth this season.

Mikel Arteta beat off competition from Pep Guardiola, Unai Emery, and Roberto De Zerbi to claim the manager of the month of March.

In the month in review, Arteta led Arsenal to a 4-0, 3-2 comeback win, 3-0. and 4-1 wins against Everton, Bournemouth, Fulham, and Crystal Palace respectively claiming all available points.

Reflecting on March as a whole, he told Arsenal.com: “We needed results and performances, and we got the results in various ways: in some games we had to react and push ourselves to the limit to get the results, and in other ones, we were really dominant and won the games with a bigger gap.

“Bournemouth was probably my favourite moment, with Reiss’ goal, that moment, that celebration, that hype we all had in the moment.

But I’m especially pleased with the consistency the boys are showing every single day – the way they train, the way they behave and the way they are playing, and the willingness and hunger to keep winning and winning.”

Mikel Arteta who has now won the award four times in August, November/December, January, and March, is now one away from matching Jurgen Klopp’s record of 5 in a single season.
