Mikel Obi assists as Stoke City beat Preston for first win of the season

John Obi Mikel was the creator as Stoke City beat Preston North End 1-0 in a Championship game on Saturday.

The Potters who are winless in their previous two games since the start of the new season got their first win thanks to Mikel Obi creativity and Lee Gregory finishing.

It was more of a balance game until the home team had one 0f their players Tom Barkhuizen sent off in the 22 minutes.

17 minutes after the incident, Mikel provided the ball the Gregory converted to give Stoke their first win of the season.

For John Obi Mikel it was yet another great day at the office, he wom 3/6 of his duels.

Had 64 touches, completed 45 of his 50 attempted passes, made three key passes and had a rating 0fn7.0.

Stoke City sit 15th on the Championship log with 4 points from three games and Mikel Obi has played in all three games they’ve played this season.
