African Football legends, Mikel Obi, Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou met in Abidjan and shared fun moment ahead of the 2023 AFCON draws.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations draws will take place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Former Chelsea FC teammates, Mikel Obi, Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou are among the football legends expected to participate in the draw ceremony.

To catch fun , the trip spent quality time together, and took pictures which has been posted on Mikel Obi’s Instagram account.

In their active football years, the trio were key Ivory Coast National team and Nigeria, with their performances at the Africa Cup of Nations, still a reference to the new generation.

For the draws, Nigeria are placed alongside Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana, and DR Congo in pot two, while tournament hosts, Ivory Coast are drawn among the top sides in Africa in Pot one.

Ivory Coast indigenes, Drogba and Kalou are ambassadors of their countries Africa Cup of Nations hosting engagement and so proved worthy hosts for visiting Mikel who was thankful to Didier for their meet.
