Milan to sell or swap Franck Kessie for Tiemoue Bakayoko

Milan are reportedly considering selling Franck Kessie to fund a permanent transfer for Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Bakayoko has surpassed Kessie in importance and Milan would prefer to keep the Chelsea loanee over the Ivorian.

The newspaper writes there could be scope for a swap deal, given the Blues ‘really like’ the former Atalanta midfielder.

The Rossoneri have a €40m option to buy the 24-year-old but presently cannot afford him after recent deals for Lucas Paqueta and Krzysztof Piatek.

Kessie, for his part, would be replaced by Porto’s Hector Herrera, who has been linked with a Bosman switch this summer.
