Mo Salah scores 23rd goal of the season as Liverpool beat Wolves
Liverpool beat Wolves 2-1 at Anfield to keep their hopes of winning the Premier League alive. Mohamed Salah scored his 23rd goal of the season, helping Liverpool win a tough match.
The Reds took the lead through Luis Díaz, who managed to bundle the ball in after a poor clearance by Toti Gomes. Díaz also set up Diogo Jota for a chance, but Wolves’ Emmanuel Agbadou made an incredible block to deny him.
Just before halftime, Salah converted a penalty after Wolves goalkeeper José Sá fouled Díaz. Wolves tried to fight back, with Matheus Cunha almost scoring from a free-kick, and Marshall Munetsi being stopped by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.
In the second half, Cunha finally pulled one back with a stunning shot in front of the Kop, but despite some pressure, Liverpool held on to win 2-1. This victory gives Liverpool a seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League, while Wolves remain near the relegation zone.
