Moses Simon scores 2nd goal of the season in Nantes win

Moses Simon has committed his future to Ligue 1 side Nantes by signing a new two-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2026.

Moses Simon scored his second goal of the season and assisted another in FC Nantes 3-1 French Ligue One win over Toulouse on Sunday afternoon .

Simon started the game for Antoine Kombouare tutored FC Nantes at the 38235 capacity Stade de la Beaujore in the fourth game of the season.

Morroco’s Zakaria Aboukhal scored in the 15th minute to put Toulouse in front , a lead they maintained into the halftime break.

In the 50th minute , Moses Simon assisted Guessand to level scores at 1-1. Five minutes later, Nantes took the lead through Mostafa Mohamed .

Moses Simon capped the comeback with his goal in the 61st minute to seal a 3-1 win over Toulouse.

A first win of the season for Nantes following two draws and one defeat from the opening three games .

Nigerian winger Moses Simon made way for L. Doucet in the 80th minute to a standing ovation by the fans for yet another impressive performance .

The 27 year old Nigerian winger had opened his goal account for the season vs Lille in week two. That game ended in a 1-1 draw following a 76th minute equalizer by Ismaily .

Moses Simon and FC Nantes will return to action on Wednesday August 31, 2022 , when they visit Strasbourg before returning to the Stade de la Beaujore – Louis Fonteneau to face high fly PSG on September 3.
